Now You're Gone

Your eyes were bright as you held my hand. The word "goodbye" was the last that we said. I never saw it coming, But now you're gone. When I'm alone I can still hear your laugh. You were so happy, please come back. I never knew what I had, But now you're gone. Pinch me so I'll wake up from this bad dream. Save me before I drown in this sea. I can't take this pain anymore. I'd give anything to see you walk through that door. I saw you smile and I watched you grow. What I'd give for you to live and learn the things you didn't know. I never knew I could feel this alone, But now you're gone. Pinch me so I'll wake up from this bad dream. Save me before I drown in this sea. I can't take this pain anymore. I'd give anything to see you walk through that door. Now I'm crying cause you never had a choice. And I'm trying to remember your voice. Now I talk to you as I sit on your bed. And I go through all the clothes you'll never wear again. Pinch me so I'll wake up from this bad dream. Save me before I drown in this sea. Could I have been there to catch your fall? Or hold your hand and be with you through it all?

Anica Stemper

I love to write poetry, and usually make them into songs. Playing guitar, singing, and writing are my three passions. I have no idea how I would live without them.
