NUMB


She was silent. He was still. The skies played melodies of flame over their heads. Hairs so close to being singed. And with the nights came a swirl of reds Soaked in the earth’s secrets unhinged, That they never looked up to see Never saw Never turned to flee. Just shy of flash point- Flyaways. Roaring flames and dull crowns Disjoint. Stares ahead, Bodies cold. Lives lived, Nothing t’behold.
