Numb

Don't worry, the aching feeling you feel at 1 am, will only come out when you are alone. Nobody has to know when you clench the pillow and hold your breath until you go numb. Nobody has to know when every mistake you have ever made runs through your head like a record on repeat. Nobody has to see the tears that run down your cheeks like the condensation of your dad's beer can sitting on the coffee table that you want to destroy. Nobody has to feel your heart beating out of your chest when you have become scared of your own self. Nobody has to taste the bitterness that has taken over your life and stuck like super glue to your soul. Nobody has to know.
