Numbed

Late at night

Wide awake

Put up a fight

Gave up being fake

Late at night

She tried so hard to keep it in

Put up a fight

One sin, two sin, three sin

A slow burn

A smirk on her face

Now it's the demons' turn

They beat her without a trace

Now she forces herself to starve

As she lets the numbness flow

And as the demons begin to carve

The numbness begins to grow & grow

No amount of therapists and pills

Can cure how she feels

She can't seem to escape her thoughts

Late at night

Put up a fight

She tried to be strong but the demons fought

And the numbness begins to grow
