Number in the sand ...

Matthew 5:3

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.

I have your number written in the sand

I’m waiting for the tide to wash it away

It’s amazing when the flood is done

All traces be gone at the end of day

I have your name written in my heart

Even many tears can’t wash it away

I cried o’er and o’er but you can’t depart

I know now for certain that you’re here to stay

No dreams for the future just reaching hands

Collecting all things I cannot pay

Music softly played by a long forgotten band

As minutes and hours slowly tick away

Life is worth it, illusions fade in the background

Eternity’s smiling forever in the day

Transformation of values just now off the ground

Angels are lifting me and whisk me away
