Numbers

Take your tests, do your work, learn what the state expects

The same dribble day in and day out, grade after grade

Perform well on tests, learn nothing of value

Satisfy politicians that want results, give them results

Prepare for your tests, take those tests

Enginuity wastes and talented minds wither

Taking those tests, learning those tests

Giving those results, those numbers that lie behind a veil

A veil that conceals the truth, the truth that our education is failing

Failing to spark creativity, failing to satisfy a students' thirst for knowledge

Give them those tests, inhibit their minds, fail at your job from the start.
