Nurse Taylor

It was hard as a kid to understand
What it was truly like to become a man
To have to actually work with your hands
And keep going even when your sweat glands
Are perspiring liquids that can testify for your hard work,
But it's all worse
working a job that you didn't choose
That's why my mom always told me "boy you better finish school"
And yeah I blew it off at first,
But now I get it since  I'm on the road to becoming a nurse
Like now I acknowledge
The importance of college
I see the importance in all the hard work
I had to learn how to study, because studying wasn't a broken in habit
As a kid the only time my face was in a book was when I was posting a status
Now I'm transitioning from being a kid
To being on my way to get my BSN
During the day I'll be saving lives
But at night I'll be making rhymes
But I can't wait to introduce myself to my first patient, I swear that'll be my greatest line
