Nursing

Caring for little ones

To see their tiny smiles

Letting them have their fun

If only for a little while

Given their end time

I’ll make it last forever

My job isn’t part-time

I’ll be there for them forever

They’ll be times when I cry

When I almost quit

Or question, “Why?”

Then I’ll remember how it fits

Wanting to comfort the kids

Will bring them joy

And health, god forbid

Every little girl and boy

Ohio University will teach me how

My parents will support me

I’ll graduate and take the vow

A Pediatric Nurse is what I’m meant to be

And no one else can take me there

But me.
