Nursing Home

I’m not an adult

I’m not a child

And I’m not a kid

I’m a teenager that takes on responsibility

That is all grown up

That has found the real me

And that has already started there future job

I desire to help others

I care for the residents

Talk with them about their days

And their past

I walk them to their activities

Give them checks every two hours

Take around a hydration cart

Help them get dressed

Helt them go to the bathroom

Help them take a shower

Cue them to eat all three meals

Take their trash out

Make sure they don’t fall

Or have anything bad happen to them

Being all grown up means to

Have confidence

Don’t care what other people think

Do your own thing

Gain responsibility

Receive a job

Work full time

Show up early

Manage time wisely

Show respect

Listen to people

Look them in the eyes when they talk

Use manners

Manage relationships

With family

Friends

And your soulmate

Think about the future

Do you want to get married?

Do you want to have kids?

What do you want to be?

I have been thinking about these questions

And, now, I have realized that I’m all grown up
