there's a reason we scream at the night sky

shrieks of silver and crimson blood

and wanderlust

that will never be fulfilled

it's a part of us

and we're a part of it

eternities lining our veins and filling our lungs

a sweet release of energy

of truth unknown

something we crave but will never find

erased from without and stored within

clawing at our skin

ripping at our thoughts

there's a reason we scream at the night sky

and there's a reason the night sky screams back
