Nyxemia
Oh, Goddess Nyxemia, Eternal Night, Lady of the Empty Sky,
They say you fell from the Heavens and your lover took your place
Filling the once dark, blank canvas with stars to remind you of his glory
What they don’t know is that you didn’t fall willingly
Oh, Nyxemia you wander the world now alone and defeated
Your friend turned foe drapes himself across your throne
Watching with twisted glee as you stumble and fall
Knowing it was He who had the gall to rip you from your beloved sky
And make you watch as he filled the night with smaller versions of the light you so did hate
Oh, fallen one, goddess unknown, who are you?
Your once devout worshippers no longer know your name
As you wander the smog ridden streets of today
Do you find comfort at night? Looking up and not seeing your enemy’s laughing light?
Why do you weep? Is it because you were betrayed? Is it because you are unknown?
No, it is because I will fight to take back my throne.
Lover turned foe, it matters no more
I am no one, so I will be reborn
He cannot keep what he stole
And I will laugh with joy as he watches,
The false kingdom he built for himself crumble at his feet
