O Captain, My Captain

Mon, 10/22/2018 - 23:13 -- Fali13

She is the one who showed me the way to this world.

On how to survive, be liberating and know the worth of my every inch.

She is the one who taught me when to swallow my words and when to have long pauses.

When to stop being paralyzed and not pay attention to what others think.

She told me it takes hardship to derives pain and happiness from.

She is the one who taught me how important it is to look back once in a while and see how far you've come.

So today, here I am an assertive young man, dripping myself with the hue of colors, holding sunlight in my own chest.
