O Patchie! My Patchie!

O Patchie! My Patchie! How I love you

With your sweater screaming blue

Your black ears perked up

Waving your little black tail

O Patchie! My Patchie! How I love you

When you died in my arms that night

That was your last flight

So light, so weak you were

You weighed less than a bird

O Patchie! My Patchie! How I love you

I wrapped you in blankets

And cried until I was blue

I yelled, "Stay with me! I love you!"

Then you were gone

That was your last song
