O2

Could it be the fiercest force Mother Nature possesses?

No, it’s not just a sinister storm in the recesses.

Would it be the silent whisper in the dark?

Or someone waiting for that spark?

Taking spaces in our lungs,

Every time at the end of our tongues.

Something that gives life

Something not shredded by the sharpest knife.

Provided for the world

Abundant in the underworld.

Cleaner than your underpants,

Yet provided by simple plants.

Absent in space,

Abundance is grace.

Oxygen is up for auction,

If we soon do not take caution.

Trees are dying, options are flying.

Taken at the beginning of every life,

Given back near the afterlife.
