Oasis

Oasis

Resting place

Shelter, refuge, place of peace

Hope, for at least a moment

When the struggle will cease

In a desert - I’m barely surviving

Everyone else seems to be thriving

I need mercy - my soul is so thirsty

Brought to my knees, I’d settle for at least a breeze

A breath of air

To cope as I grope

Oh, I pray it’s not a mirage

But the space of grace

Oasis
