Obituary; Be There
This is to announce, the departure of our dearly beloved blah blah blah...
We're familiar with the phrase - yeah.
We've lost and will lose someone supposedly dear, someday.
But it's sad really, to see that the one whom we claim to love, may not actually feel loved.
Papa and Mama grow old, having given you their life through sacrifice,
Yet you payback with petty media updates...
Tons and tons of Mothers and Father's Day, yet your presence cannot be felt at home.
Then when they're finally done and gone, you squeeze a little time to come wailing on their bed rails, beholding for the first time the frail frame.
You invite professional mourners who feel nothing but do their job, marvelling at your dry eyes, with you on the phone.
Then with feigned gloom, you say "may the soul rest in peace".
Really?
How do you even sleep at night?
Listen!
Do not wait for it all to end, before you come with wishful thinking of a soul resting in peace.
Do not get all the fame and luxury, yet those you "love" languish in loneliness and obscurity
It's not all about the luxury,
It's really not about safety, or some material comfort.
For the soul to be at peace, the body and the mind needs to be at peace.
Neglect not one for the other,
Be there when needed, even overtime.
Your little random acts of "being there" goes a long way, leaving your loved one loved and at peace.
Grant Papa's unsaid wish,
Heal Mama's silent tear,
BE THERE!
So they can leave in peace...
