Objectification
I feel as if falling in love is a possibility again
I feel as if I could be vulnerable again
I feel as if this all could be, if you thought I was enough
But, you are a man with superficial needs
A man that denies objectification, but objectifies me
You once told me, “you are my stress reliever”
That line could mean so many beautiful things
But, the morning we woke up next to each other
Unattached, physically detached
I recognized that you weren’t emotionally in touch
Then, when I held you, my arms and legs wrapped around your body
In that moment, I understood why I was your stress reliever
Sex
You are a man with superficial needs
Why are you like this
You fooled me into believing I could love a man again
Because, I wanted to love you
But can’t, because then I’d be walking myself into my own heartbreak
I’ll stand back, give you the space and freedom I know we both need
And have you realize, you should’ve held on longer
And that, that is not love
