Oblivion
I'm scared of Oblivion
I'm scared of giving in
I'm scared of this cold and cruel world
I'm living in
I'm scared of what is front of me
The past still haunts my memories
I'm scared of my demons
And their quest to drive to the brink
To the brink of insanity
Constantly driving me one way or the other
On the Balance Beam
It is a twisted gymnastic act
And when falling on the mat
isn’t getting to try again
But falling to black, you can't fight back
It’s like choking
Breath, breath, BREATH
But you can't
Cause an external force says so
The lump in your throat says NO
And because the lump in your throat said No
Because it says so
Then it must mean it is so
The future will always be cloudy
The past will always linger
The present will always doubt me
Hamlet was wrong
It isn’t
“To be or Not to Be”
As if it was my decision
A drunk driver could answer with a head on collision
Split my corpus callosum
A mind shattering division
See my life is full of fear and regret
I'm scared of trying and idling
I'm not scared to die, but yet
I'm afraid of dying with life in me.
