Obscured

Fireflies are like stars:

flowing with patters

of a nighttime sky,

glowing like the sun,

gleaming, twinkling,

brightening hours of darkness until day.

Natural movements

always changing,

forever fluid.

Sweeping past with awe

from place to place.

A gift from nature,

a promise kept.

Changing the obscurity of night

into something worth gazing,

all for the power of light.
