Observing suffering

I have seen suffering, true suffering. Lying on the ground dying, struggling to breathe, reaching out only to find nothing and no one. Touch, a voice, breath, anything. Waiting and waiting and waiting for a light, even a dim glow, to ease the unyielding pain. Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual.
