Obsessed with Perfection

I feel empty Like I lost myself in an attempt to find her This girl I sought was perfect Beautiful, Intelligent, Brilliant But she had no faults That was the problem. I focused so much on fixing my faults I didn't develop my strengths Because of that I'm not sure what to call my strengths In an effort to reach her --To be perfect-- I am left with nothing. Constant struggling to catch her But every step I take toward her takes me two steps back She is unattainable. Perfection. Beauty. But I got lost in her image I know I can't catch her But I'm still obsessed
