The Obsession

The Obsession

Seeps

Without a glance

A touch

Without catches of a cough or swims through a stream

Time

Time

Time

It will happen only with time

Dripping

Down to our gut

Through the bone

Our marrow

Giving us the chill

Ooh, but wait, there’s another

And you do look up

And you do seize hold

There is a choke of death as you stroke without a feel

“COME!” anyone cries

“COME!” everyone shrieks

All of us, hopeless, insane, disturbed

“COME!”

Because it is out there

They are close

She will come

There is convincing as we beg for mercy

And plead for the humanity where we alone know more than others

WE KNOW WHILE OTHERS DO NOT!

I am the only one who distinguishes

Just like anyone else out there with a gut

And it swells

To an unbelievable amount of helium, expanding and molding

Into a hardened world, superior to any planet discovered

And it swells, burning every chemical and physical property

We slowly die as it overpowers us

As we possibly EXPLODE

BANG!

There is nothing left but a zooming, lying, distorted particle.
