Obsession

I know obsession. The feeling of clinging on so desperately to someone who may not even exist. The countless hours of imagining them coming and sweeping you off your feet into a perfect ending. I know obsession. The drive to defend the thing you love so much it’s almost hate. The time spent working to be the amazing thing everyone seems to expect. I know obsession. The joy of the words I just can’t get enough of. Always finding something more. The seconds that don’t matter, because I’m so wrapped up in someone else’s world. I know obsession. It’s taken over my whole life.
