OCD and Me

My mind is weak

Like a lost sailor I can do nothing, nothing as the waves of anxiety swirl through my head

Get up, time for school

I cannot go for I am a fool

The O stands for obsessive

The C stands for compulsive

The D stands for disobey and you will pay

The thoughts, oh the terrible thoughts grab ahold of me

They are like race cars zooming in my brain, around and around the track the go

when will they just stop!

I don't know

Get up, time for school

No thank you

I am a fool

I cannot take it anymore, but I must somehow

The pain, the sorrow its too much for me

Please oh please, someone set me free

"You can do this,"

What was that, a little voice in my head?

"You can do this!"

My friend! I thought you were dead!

I get up, as tired as can be

I get up, I Get up!

I set myself free

The thoughts are still there, but no anxiety

I push out the bad

I think about the good

The anxiety runs away like a scared dog

As I always knew it would

The O stands for obsessive

The C stands for compulsive

But the D, well, the D stands for determined
