The Ocean

Her beauty is addicting,

Her power she displays,

With swells of formidable force,

With every thundering wave.

Her emotions, they vary,

She grinds rocks to fine sand,

She spits out shells,

But will gently kiss the land.

Beneath shining waters,

A mysterious cosmos exists.

Creatures of every kind,

Make their home in the abyss.

She humbles mighty warriors,

Gives strength to the meek,

And to the depths of the soul,

Dispenses overwhelming peace.

Feel her spray on your face,

Wade in or catch a ride,

For when you are intimate with the ocean,

Then you truly feel alive.
