The Ocean
Salty cold waters circle
My recently barren ankles.
Calves half covered by pants
Rolled up by hands
Warmed in the grey jacket pockets
Of the boy with lips of gentle innocence.
Sand beneath our exposed feet
Melt like the chocolate bunnies
On rare warm Easters.
Our lips intertwine,
You are learning,
Calloused fingers run through
The blonde mess blown
To my back by the chilling
Swells of the half mooned air.
Your hands flow, the same motion
Of the dancing fire hidden in the dunes
Spreading warmth of missed desires.
The equator pull brings two
Distances together,
Teasing treasures
Of smiles lost in the
Out take of waves
Churning your naïveté,
The sharp glass piece of a chaste heart,
Made smooth and beautiful, in time.
Sexual desire, natural synapses
Creating lust—trust, and
Endeavors longed for
Once the two settle into empty beds.
