To the Ocean
Since I was a child
you were always there
I always enjoyed you
but I did not deeply care
or maybe I did
As I'm growing older
my love for you is on the rise
so much peace and belief
that's what you put into my eyes
it overflows without a lid
They say you don't know
what you're missing until it's gone
now that you're not the first thing I see
I no longer enjoy the thought of dawn
it's like breathing with a broken rib
Although I know of your dangers
you can't keep me away
some can come and go with ease
but I dream of you every day
this claim of admiration is no fib
You've shown me so many things
I could call you my greatest teacher
although it's such a natrual part of me
you help destroy this fearful creature
your price cannot be bid
This is the promise that I make
my love for you cannot be undone
for what other wonder is like you
there isn't any not even one
of my heart you can never be rid
