I am a small sea snail, Limacina helicina to be exact

I live in cold water near the poles

I am the most important creature in the arctic. In fact I make up half of the zooplankton 

I am very magnificent, with my bright colors of red, blue, purple, and orange 

And my shell,

My shell is very beautiful, so perfect and transparent

Do not destroy my shell!

It is my only protection!

This ocean acidification, it is harming all of us

It is harming me!

Now I have holes, many holes

In what used to be my perfect shell

What will I do?
