Ocean Air

Ocean Air

If tomorrow I can’t love you

Like I did today,

Could you still say my name?

Could you look at me the same?

And if tomorrow I love you

More than I did before,

Would you still be unsure?

Would you leave me on this shore?

And today as I sit with you,

Wary of this tide,

Will you over come your pride?

Will you stay by my side?

I know that while I’m here with you,

In this ocean air,

You’ll salt my wounds with care

And I’ll be whispering my prayers
