Ocean Eyes

Wed, 11/07/2018 - 09:03 -- oreokk

The anger flows strong, bitter,
waves pummeling all in their path,
winds, waters, sky all swelling, seething
into unstoppable force, ready to mangle life,
mutilate land, rupture lives.

Yet suddenly the hurricane ceases,
the frigid waters pulling wrath from the storm
as venom from a wound
leaving only void behind
as it entombs the truth back to its coffin,
buried in its fathomless depths,
sea clutching emotion to its chest
where none can perceive,
and ocean eyes reflect the sky once again.
