Ocean Eyes

It is not the way I look at you.

It is not the make up applied to my face.

Instead you float,

Lingering,

On a genetic glazed gaze.

They all stop and stare

At "flawless" eyes-

Ocean eyes-

Swimming through a crystal sea

Made of ice, tears, and fresh blue skies.

They look back at me with muddy eyes and grass green eyes.

I can not help what they look like.

I did not ask for this.

But I am thankful for ocean eyes.

Something that is flawless without hiding behind make up.
