An Ocean of Sunsets

Twisting, turning

Rolling, churning

Waves of emerald blue

Foaming and frothing

Crashing and tossing

A picture of majesty

Running forever

Wide open space

Tickling tide

Filled with God’s grace

A place to be free

A place to run

A place to forget

While sea swallows sun

Blue, purple, gold

Silver, pink, green

Birds fly in circles

Above the sea of dreams

Shells of white and silver

Rainbow shards of glass

A showering of salty spray

Whipping up the grass

Deep inside my heart

It holds a special place

Beauty surrounds me

As the sun kisses my face
