OCEAN TEARS
A sea is a body of water
A body is a sea of bones
A sea is full of salt and seaweed
A body is full of flesh and blood
The waves start to form, licking up the sand
The people start to run, picking up the soil in gardens
The flowers that were starting to blossom,
get picked up
Like a ten year-old getting picked up by her mother
after school
The flowers start to shrivel-up, lacking water
Soon, they’d die
The people start to cry, lacking love
Soon, they’d die
Breathe in and out, the whispers scream, taming
Your heart pounding against your chest
Wanting to run away
Smashing ribs
Breaking them
Turning to
Dust
That get picked up by the ocean
Into the roaring waves they go,
Like a pizza into an oven
Your eyes start to fill with water,
Water that tastes like salt,
Water from the ocean
