The Ocean is You
Typical
A boy, of course, lost within the eyes of the oceans beyond
Gazing into the waves as she pushes him back to shore
He claims he had never seen anything so full before
Never had he seen depths more beautiful than hers
She was always there, but why now does he come to see her
Why now does he try to swim
He had never learnt before
Weird
From a foreign land, a friend would come
He would ask this Typical boy, who wasn’t so typical, why his shirt was tucked in
He is from these parts, but yet he is still different
The sun is out bright. It shines on him like a spotlight. He doesn’t even complain about the heat
His friend asks another question, “Why are you wearing a winter sweater in this heat?”
The response was, “What?”
Introspect
He does see that he’s Typical
He doesn’t want to be
He does hear the word “weird” as the most common word to describe him
He sort of appreciates it
But how could these opposites work together?
Alone thinking all day, he just wants to let people know they can be themselves too
“To me, what do they have to prove” To a weirdo that can only be described as his own name
On one side, mental. The other, funny
Ambitions as a writer, it is time to work in that spotlight. It is time to show them all what he can do
A High Class Gangster
Started from always doing his own thing
Now he has his own crew
Everyone is invited Everyone is capable and Everyone has a chance
Though his crew likes that gangster rap, they’re a family and will always make room for Yonce
His motto is, “What?” and his favourite colour is, Blue, Green, or Chocolate, and Purple
Society has changed he thought
Loving and accepting, but then he saw what could happen to other people
He saw what happened to his family
Now when he’s staring at her right in her eyes
He knows he can go in the water
He knows that if he can’t swim, she’ll be there to guide him back
