I have been a symbol for adventure,

Since the beginning of time,

But now you have crossed me,

Explored every mile,

I watch you calmly,

While you poison me.

I have provided my children to you for food,

Since before the old can remember,

But now you have taken too much,

They cannot recover,

I have been a cleanser for you,

Since the continents broke apart,

But now you pollute my shores,

A graveyard of trash clouds my waters,

Since land and water first met,

Since I was created,
