Octobers Weary

It's almost time for October

the leaves are turning and it's getting kinda colder
Not much has really changed
Although things aren't actually the same
African Americans are still getting killed by the police in the streets
Wipe tears away from the eyes of the mother who weeps, because less than a minute ago she just saw her son fall to his feet.
They say race has nothing nothing at all to do with it,
But how come when a black male commits a crime.
They say F___  doing the time instead they execute him, watch him fall, and say it was self defense.
And in some cases they don't even commit crimes.
They just want to take out our entire race
Because they know if we joined forces
And started fighting back with our Intelligence
I mean I'm pretty you've heard this of plenty of times but with a different voice
That we can excel and do way better than them
I'm tired of seeing my sisters and brothers targeted and being put in hearses and being jailed
