An ode to alcohol
You catch me when i'm falling
but you also tend to be the reason i fell in the first place
You help me temporarily forget that he left
Or that she bitched at me
Or that maybe i don't look the best because i've been crying since one
And my eyes are all puffy and black from the makeup i wore to work this morning
You see everytime alcohol and i get together it is never a quiet evening
It's a dance all night
Blare shitty music
And snack on everything in sight
Kind of night
You are the one thing that has helped me when a real person cannot
Sure some people will call that a disorder
But i say its fuking great
I'm much more alive after 3 gin and tonics
So thank you alcohol for saving my life before something else could take it
