Ode to Alcohol

To the alcohol dissolving my family

Thanks for everything

Thank you for the worry of becoming them

Thank you for pouring out hurtful words

I can’t begin to imagine life without you

You brought me up in a way no one else could

You make me so happy, it’s almost destructive

You have yet to fail at starting arguments

Thank you for being manipulative and toxic

My family is dependant on you

Don’t leave us

My father is your #1 fan

If people like you, you must be doing something right

I hope to be like you someday…

Toxic, Destructive, Manipulative…

Who doesn’t want that?
