Ode to and Angel

(poems go here)Thou cannot watch the falling sun depart

And end a day silent within the dark,

Then fail to mourn the blue skies in your heart.

Warm sunny moments with your lover spent

And fear the long dark night that lies ahead.

Forever dancing softly through the night,

The lonely star doth upon us shed light

To guide us in the way to happier days.

Stay near me now to lead and protect me.

A pair of feathered wings does softly beat.

The voice sings down from large clouds up above,

To spread the bonds of pure and deepest love,

To share a faith so strong with all mankind,

To fight the power of evil in us all.

Now take my hand and with your strongest grip

Take flight and lead me somewhere far away.

With flowers of the bold and rarest kind,

With singing birds and brightest stars, make me

To be forever in the company.

When darkness falls true light cannot be beat.
