An Ode to Anxiety

Anxiety.

Sweet sweet anxiety.

I hate you.

You come with bright flashing red faces looking like a stop sign

That keeps popping out

The panic attacks that make you feel like you died but wait you survived

Yay!

Wait did I really just say that?

Sorry. I’m stupid, I’m stupid.

Sorry guys I would love to go but-

“What excuse is it this time?”

No, really I would love-

Just say you're tired!

Maybe if I wasn't so awkward?

Stop smiling, oh my god why am I smiling?

Do I wave back? Were they waving at me?

I’m fine I’m fine.

Just keep it cool, I can do it I swear

Just keep a fake smile to wear

Hello friends

Anxiety doesn't just happen on the weekends.
