Ode to The Beatles
To The Beatles.
To the intoxicating lyrics that make each day a Carnival of Light.
To the Rock and Roll Music that spark our own, distinct Revolution.
To the songs that give us courage to Shout the truth of our Misery
That is caused by Money and greed,
And of the rusted Chains that bind our beliefs to silence,
And sentence our Real Love to imprisonment,
Because compassion is For No One,
And Loving You is a crime in the eyes of the corrupted.
But even a Madman could see that What Goes On inside us all is not a cry for Help!
We are just Crying, Waiting, Hoping that things are Getting Better.
Just because a Girl must Carry That Weight of the world on her shoulders,
Does not mean she must have a Devil In Her Heart.
But the things she must endure force her to be strong.
She knows It Won't Be Too Long until Something changes.
Until she can say,“I Feel Fine.”
To the ghastly gutter music that inspires Boys everywhere to find Another Girl.
To find a better girl.
To find a Woman who they promise to love Eight Days A Week
And to treat Her Majesty as the queen she is.
To the rhythm that influenced tenderness to sprout and thrive Here, There, and Everywhere.
To the bitter sweet beats that convince the unappreciated, ignored, lonely, unwanted Children that they are loved.
Don't Ever Change because Every Little Thing about them makes them unique
And therefore a work of Art.
To The Beatles.
And to their harmonies that ignite the burning embers of grace inside us all.
