An Ode to Books

Oh books that I love,
with your frayed covers and tattered pages
You take me on perilous adventures
and entice me with electrifying romances.
You make me laugh at characters mischief
and weep at their demise.

Oh my charming books,
You are hidden in the nooks and crannies of my room
And in plain sight on my pearly bookshelf
that has too many books
and too little shelves.

My extraordinary books help me escape from the extra ordinary world.
If even for just a moment.

This poem is about:
Me
