For always being there

When I felt alone

And confused

Ode to books

For helping me get a job

When I didn’t know how to

Ode to books

For being there for me

When I was depressed and

Couldn’t find my way out

Ode to books

For providing me with shelter

And a place to hide

When I needed it the most
