An Ode to Chevron

It's been great, it's been fun,

but now I am done,

I see your lines on every surface.

On dresses, in stores,

and on every Pinterest board,

you have started to lose your purpose.

Your pointy straight lines

and bright colors were just fine

for about 3.5 seconds.

Yet in thick or in thin,

real stripes will always win,

haven't you learned your lesson?
