Ode to the color grey

Ode to the color grey

Ode to all the haters,

That crash hard and leave asteroid-sized craters,

that rip, dash, and slide over us like skaters,

And manipulate our every move like folding paper.

This is an ode to all the “oh you’ll  never make its.”

This is an ode to all the times i had to fake it,

An ode to to all things fixed yet they had

to break it,to all the times i claimed a happiness yet you had to take it.

Ode to all the lost yet never found,

An ode to to all who strive to be profound,

for those who rise to the surface just before the moment they drowned.

For you are the hard worker deserving to be crowned.

Ode to all the black light that seek out the dark from within the light.

Ode to those who look left while everyone goes right.

Ode to the blind that see the world better than those

With sight, for  they are the ones living in delight.

Ode to all the negativity that flourishes through my day.

I try to block it out yet on the news,on the radio,it finds a way

Since he’s young, black, and alone you have to take him away.

I respect the law but that justice system is grey.
