Ode To A Curse
i sometimes--always think of you
you're always on my mind
your arms, your lips, your eyes, your touch
the thought so always kind
i sometimes--always stare at you
though your gaze not returned
to gift wrap your eyes and box your lips
a lesson in a present never learned
i sometimes--always cry for your touch
a luxury never earned
a poke or stab or slap or hug
in any kind is yearned
i sometimes--always find a way
to squeeze you in my mind
in due time
our hands and eyes and hearts will surely bind
i sometimes--always beg for you
to open up your eyes
see me--your love, your wife, your dove
and hear my aching cries
i sometimes--always want a kiss
your lips pressed against mine
a simple gesture of our love
or hug will be just fine
i sometimes--always deny your charm
a curse cast upon me
to crave your walk, your speech, your talk
and melt so blissfully
