Ode to Demons

While your bitterness lingered

Like the smell of dead skin

I tried to escape you

My soul trapped within

I used to be doubtful

Of what I could do

Because living without you

Was too good to be true

But I chose to move on

Never a prisoner of sorrow

You tried to control me

Yet I saw tomorrow

To my demons inside

I bid thee farewell

The end of your reign

Good riddance in hell
