Ode to Flip-Flops
A flip-flop is a warm summer day
They are a blue sky with birds singing all around me
I wonder if they like being loose and comfy?
Like a bed to a sleepy child
I suppose they do
They always make me feel pretty and satisfied
As many feel they do
They never make me angry or upset
As few proclaim
Some people hate flip-flops
Which is quite a tragedy
They flip and flop all across the room
Making me feel like summer is just around the corner
As if, by wearing these pretty flip flops summer is there with me at all times.
Flip-flops, you are what keep me going until summer time.
