Ode to Food
Crispy crunchy fries
Straight or curly
Cool chocolate ice cream
Whipped or whirling
A big fat juicy burger
with everything on it
With a medium soda on the side
I could eat it all in one sit
Taking a break
Just to digest it all
Wobbling home
Hoping I don't tumble and fall
My eyes droop
My eyes drop
But nothing could ever make me stop
An ode to food
I guess you could call it
And maybe I am a little obsessed
I can admit
But after a long day
Of dealing with work and strife
Some good soul food
Is all I need in my life.
