Ode To Freedom

Mon, 04/24/2017 - 13:53 -- Neftee

As I sat in my chair one evening fair,  with my family sitting there without a care.

I heard a blare from Satan's layer, to come and snare my right to heir.

My family heard it too, what to do? is this a demon come for you?

Demonic voice is heard a new "We have come in peace for you!"

A blast of force came through the door, What is man for Gods deplore?

You are safe they say but safe to say his face had placed some space to play

inside my brain engaged a hateful faith in Satan's place he came to rape

and take my kids away!

That devil was green like envy, green like apple candy made for Halloween.

Plastered with brown in a uniform this devils spawn was as a corps, indeed.

I heard the sound of commands in evil tongue "On the ground!" his language spun.

I understand. I saw my son attempt to run for he was scared, my youngest one.

For evil snared our home as one, but run my son! you can't outrun a gun.

Blast! a crash of sound went past my brow to smack into my youngest child,

and blast his head apart.

This devil spawn was heartless. Simple as a reaper at the harvest.

Harvest body bone and digest us, to build a heap of "justice" for a throne.

This devil killed my son. But I can not be placed to fight a giant.

Is that the symbol of a tyrant? blue with stars to stripe a world of red to white?

A word could bring the dead of night to stab the moon with piercing light.

I am just a man, But maybe God will help me fight.

Next he killed my wife. I didn't see the thing this demon green had seen.

But see did I the snap of light and splat of life across my sight and watched her die.

Who am I? My fathers gun was by the door, used to hunt,

but now implored to store my rightness fear of war to kill this devil in my door.

"Move like lightning" was the voice of God to me,

I grabbed that gun and spun to see a man who stood in green, inside my home with me.

Just a man. No devil with horns and hooves. No magical thing inside a hood.

Just a man. And he had killed my family.
